Heddy Ghazizadeh is the heart and soul of Heddy's. Heddy likes to get hands-on and is often seen cooking dishes himself. He knows many of the guests personally. It's not just their faces he remembers but he has an encyclopedic knowledge of their culinary likes and dislikes. He has a mental index system with instant recall of all his patrons' preferences.
Born in Iran, Heddy's cooking influences are diverse. Heddy says his food is Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influenced by Armenian cuisine. It is a hybrid mix of all that's best from the region.
Heddy has worked in Manchester restaurants for many years. Mulberrys in Withington (1982-87), Yang Sing in Manchester as Banqueting and Purchasing Manager (1987-2000), and established Heddy's from 2000.
